January News – New Year, New Decade, New Day

With the holiday rush behind us, we now have time to settle into the bones of winter and watch and wait as the winter makes us all go within and look within and stay within. In the northeast and by the looks of it-even other parts us the US,we really are having a hard, cold winter. It is such a good to time to reassess our selves, our plans and just rest and “do” less ” be” less and expect less. This is something a large many of us need right now. In many cultures we place our hopes on things and place many ridged standards on our outcomes, of developments, ideas, work, and the like. We make ourselves hard acts to follow. Yet also many cultures do like the notion of letting go of those hard angles to life, those hard expectations of ourselves, our lives. Maybe during times like this, when the sun sets earlier, the roads are not passable; maybe this is the Universal plan to get us to slow down and just BE and let the workings of the ways of our own prayers and hopes just begin to get delivered. The painter Claude Monet once wrote “there is no time more alive than the intimate now, where truths are eternal.”
