Hello All
I would have sent this newsletter out earlier but it took my body days to get back into balance from the weekend of the Chile earthquake. Have you noticed things about your life that mirrors what the earth was going through last weekend and the week prior to the huge quake in Chile? I sure did. What we are facing is the point where the macro is the micro and what happens to one, in a way happens to all somehow. Our lives will often mirror not only the changes that may be going on around us (work, friends, relationships, emotions) but also the earth itself and our neighbors all around the globe. It will be harder and harder now to say “well, that was over there, that was them.” Yes? The point is binding, the reason is uniting. There is no other way. Well, the other way is non-compassion, non-searching, non-reaching . I know by now, many of us know that that method never really gets any one to where they need to go. There is a pathway being made for us during these times of change. I know many of you can feel it now, it is palpable. It is calling us. The clients who have come to me share thoughts of loss, confusion, bereavement, joy and wondering all at once. This is normal for the time. How does the “news of late” make you feel? If it strikes up fear you have two choices. One, to take that fear and let it fester like a wound untreated and feel the effects of fear in the drivers seat of your mind. The other is to summon your courage and your heart to wonder, where do we go from here?

In a warm office, looking out side through this warmth to a sunny day, cold in air, warm in heart, I greet you with news of winter and subtle movement. It is indeed mid winter most places. We however are feeling the call of a spring voice through the winter freeze. It beckons us daily with increasing light and springtime gardens, calling us. Isn’t that simply the way it works? Each winter in the bleakest part where it feels like there is no end, some other louder interior voice reminds us that not far way there are plans brewing for the trumpets of spring to sound. It is like this in our own spiritual journey. Just when the darkness, the dragons of the past, seem to try to bring us to the depths, do we suddenly have the epiphany, the breakthrough, the change show itself to us and rise up, Phoenix like. This is happening all over, I am witnessing it in many of my clients. I feel an odd quivering of joy and awakening within the Universe, both within the stars and within and upon the earth, our hearts. One might say that in the witnessing of the earth shaking and with the dutiful and tragic scarifies of the people of Haiti and the like, the positive side effect is a tremor of a new kind. Happy Tidings this January

With the holiday rush behind us, we now have time to settle into the bones of winter and watch and wait as the winter makes us all go within and look within and stay within. In the northeast and by the looks of it-even other parts us the US,we really are having a hard, cold winter. It is such a good to time to reassess our selves, our plans and just rest and “do” less ” be” less and expect less. This is something a large many of us need right now. In many cultures we place our hopes on things and place many ridged standards on our outcomes, of developments, ideas, work, and the like. We make ourselves hard acts to follow. Yet also many cultures do like the notion of letting go of those hard angles to life, those hard expectations of ourselves, our lives. Maybe during times like this, when the sun sets earlier, the roads are not passable; maybe this is the Universal plan to get us to slow down and just BE and let the workings of the ways of our own prayers and hopes just begin to get delivered. The painter Claude Monet once wrote “there is no time more alive than the intimate now, where truths are eternal.”

Hello My Fellow Spiritual Seekers

What a beautiful fall it is beginning to be here in the Northeast! Have you all been wanting to put down the chores lately and just do something better? More toward your heart? More for others, or more for just yourself? Ahhh, yes. This is the energy of the times. The dualistic nature of going within to self enhancement and wanting to push without your arms and limbs to a greater whole so that it turns itself around to you again. Helping one is helping all. The great tree of life has roots, takes in water and air for itself and yet always gives back to us too. Clearing the air and giving us wood, shade, beauty, fruit and more. This is the only way we will be able to cope now. By going within to our roots and healing what is broken, taking in good nourishment for our roots, or bodies, and then spreading our branches out to whomever will need our limbs. Many have come to me with huge changes. This is the way and the groove of realigning of our lives to help us find out just where and who we are supposed to be during the times of apparent “chaos” in a changing world. Remember, nature abhors a vacuum.
