December News – Season of Light

Happy Holiday and Solstice Season All,

After our first snow it finally seems like winter has arrived here in Southern Maine. The chill and the darkness begs to be acknowledged. With that we light up lights and put the wood in the stove and light candles. Most of us will take heed to listen to gentle pulls to go a bit within and look at things and thoughts and issues that reside within us that long to come out now. The irony has it that inner issues that seem dark or lonely come out to the front right when we do the most of our celebration and sharing with friends and family. It serves as a balm and a catalyst for us to heal that which needs to be healed. As you can see from the news of late, it is not just personal issues that long to come out into the forefront and be noticed. It is also global and political issues that are coming to the dinner table. There is much work to do in the way of healing that which is broken. Anger, mistrust, and hurt is an obvious reaction. While it is helpful to let those emotions out in a healthy way, there could be a new way of doing things. Maybe long talks and long walks could help. Making music, writing letters, praying and finding a spiritual outlet. Negativity is a death sentence for Hope. Being careful to look at things and ideas from different perspectives and all sides of the issues may be the best way to heal that which is within us and without of us. Have you ever actually sat in silence and thought about how others may feel or what they may need. To put others first is a big step for some and that may heal many things. That is the true kind of gift giving you can give loved ones this holiday.

In the Midst of Summer Growth; August Newsletter

Greetings Beloved People!

Here we are in the thick of the heat of summer, and I can feel most of you just gripping the summer tightly with Love and holding the space of wanting it to never end. Indeed.
There is such a voice within us wishing to play and be just THERE, where we are, being present in all we are doing. Summer is good for that. The absorption of the waves, the rays, the food, the company, the vacations. It would be wise of us to bring that energy, that vibration of the enjoyment of being in those moments into the fall  into our workplaces, our homes, our relationships…the vibration of “I notice this” and “I am HERE right NOW.” This is a lesson the travels, trips, and talks of the summer can bring us to. This is why we crave it, it is sorely lacking in our every day lives. Connections.

July News, The Eclipses, and Summers Best

Hello My Friends,

As the rain still pounds my window here in Freeport Maine, I am readied to write to you and speak of the summers climate, both spiritual and literal. We have had much rain and gray here in Maine, and the Northeast. While some of you out there are in drought. Polarities and opposites, balances and changes; this is what this says to me. There is much in transition right now, both figuratively and literally. Much of the weather is this pattern of movement as our climate shifts its being-ness. Much of the economic forecast is the shifting of itself as well. Many of us have had to re-adjust our own goals and lives as we need to shift into new work, no work, too much work or the like. Many will have to readjust their own personal desires, or needs to find a truer way of living right now – even if it means sacrifices of what we THOUGHT were needs. Now it is shifting to a new need. One of internal truth, inner looking and of outer connectedness and community. So many of you have come to me to share your stories of deep change right now, and of the losses or confusion that is going hand in hand with such change. As I have said before – this is the time we have been coming to. Do the work or God will do it for you. This is the time to really ask what habits, persons, habitual thought forms, unforgiveness or self sabotaging behaviors and pains should be released unto the winds of change.
